The Journey…. a personal post.

Posted on March 30, 2012

As many of you know my Dad has been battling cancer for the past 3 years as part of his ‘journey’ he & a muso friend have produced a wonderful blues/rock CD that will hopefully inspire & help others in their journey & recovery. Although the official launch was last W/E at the Relay for Life they are holding a benefit night on the 31st of March at Bonny Hills Tavern. Ghost Road among others will be playing & all proceeds from the night & the CD will go to the Cancer Council. I am sure it will be a fantastic night so if you aren’t doing anything help support a great cause & have some fun at the same time :-) . Or if you would like to busy a copy of the CD please let me know.

On a slightly photography related note I took some of the images in the CD, including the one above of dad & my Jakey holding hands with their hope bands. Jake is very excited to be “famous”!

The R family {Camden Haven Family Photographer}

Ok, confession time…. family sessions make me really nervous, yep, I get really stressed about what location to use, what the light will be like, what clients will be wearing, whether the kids will like me or even look at me & by the morning of the session I start to think I can’t do it….. BUT then when I get to the session & get to hang out with such wonderful families like this one I forget all about my nerves & have so much fun I want to start planning the next family session ;-) .

So here are just some of the beautiful photos we got of the R family. I had taken photos of Miss Darby before but this time I got to meet her equally adorable little sister Isla. Don’t you just love that little belly button peeking out & the first one of Darby make me think of fairytales every time I see it. It was such fun hanging out with you all again & I hope all my family sessions are as lovely as this one was….. maybe then those pesky nerves will go away ;-)

It is funny how each newborn session is different to the next. This gorgeous little guy wasn’t very keen on sleeping for me when he was by himself but put him in dad’s arms & he was totally happy. I had a lovely morning with  this family & this little man is the cousin to two of my favourite girls so it was extra nice to meet him. I am rushing to get out the door to work so short & sweet today - introducing Master Luca…..

Awww….. that’s my first thought every time I open the photo of miss Isabella asleep on her mums shoulder. It reminds of  me of that time with my boys & how quickly it passes - now I am lucky to get a quick hug! As we missed out on Miss Isablleas newborn pics we are doing a split session, we took some now & are hoping to get some more smiley ones once she is sitting up. So stay tuned for those in a couple of months….

Double the Cuteness….

Posted on March 1, 2012

well the start of 2012 has been very busy - along with working, taking photos & raising two growing boys we are embarking on a renovation. So things maybe a little quiet on here as I find time to get everything done. I have to try hard to manage my work/life balance so that my family actually get to spend time with me instead of just seeing the face behind the computer ;-)

BUT on to the fun stuff…. for my first photoshoot of the year I had the pleasure of photographing my first ever newborn twins! They gave me a good workout - they already had their own individual personalities & they definitely didn’t sync but we persevered & of course it was all worth it when we got such beautiful photos….

My last little newborn for the year….. What could be more a more perfect Christmas present than to have a beautiful little baby. Miss M was an angel for our photo session & I’m sure her mum & dad will be having a wonderful first Christmas with her. To all my lovely clients & friends I wish you all the best for Christmas & New Year - have fun & be safe.

I have been MIA, trying to get everything finished before the Christmas rush! I hope everyone is more organised than I am - it feels like Christmas is just coming too soon for me, although I am definitely looking forward to the holidays that are coming with it!  Although this family have already seen their pics I thought I’d still share some here - after all who can resist such a gorgeous little man…….

How adorable is this little guy - just look at that hair!  Although not really in the smiley mood we did manage to coax a few smile out of him & I think his grin is very similar to his dad’s - see the one of them together. enjoy your little peek guys, will be in touch!

**Quick note - I will be away next week with limited email access so if you send me a msg & don’t hear back straight away you will know why.**

Playing by the Lake {Camden Haven Family Photography}

Posted on November 12, 2011

I had such a lovely morning catching up the B family, I have known their mum for a long time so it was really nice to have a chat…. & of course take some beautiful pics - & with these three it was certainly easy. Last time I had seen Master Thomas he was only a week or so old so he had certainly changed - such gorgeous blond hair, & a very cheeky little grin ;-) - Kylah & Jake were soo grown up too but still just as cute (or shoud I say handsome for Jake!) So enjoy your little peek Ness, I had such a hard time picking which ones to show - I have actually nearly finished your gallery already so stay tuned!!
